March 21, 2013|By Kevin Rector, The Baltimore Sun

An accident involving at least two vehicles closed West Nursery Road in both directions Thursday morning and caused injuries, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of West Nursery and Winterson roads about 7:04 a.m. and found two or three vehicles had been involved in a collision, a police dispatcher said.

The intersection is just south of Interstate 295 in the Linthicum Heights area north of Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

Traffic in both directions on West Nursery Road remained stopped as of about 8 a.m., as emergency crews awaited a clean-up of fluid in the roadway, which could be gasoline, the dispatcher said.

The collision did involve injuries, but further information was not immediately available, the dispatcher said.
