Lamenting the state of Aberdeen Proving Ground [letter]

March 15, 2013|Letter to The Aegis

I'm retired from the Military now after 22 years of service and three tours of combat. I worked on APG as a civilian employee for nine years now at this BRAC process is a joke. I'm writing this because the poor news and newspapers are so blind on the politicians we have in charge. This ride option deal [for APG commuters] is just another handout.

The politicians for Maryland let this post run down for the 30 years that I've seen APG, and when the New Jersey workers came, they built new, state-of-art buildings and restaurants, etc. for them, and everyone else is still stuck with outdated building and roads.

This is unacceptable and the APG commanders are a disgrace for allowing this on their watch. I'm sure this won't be investigated because this news reporting that is being passed on to the American public is so leftist sided it's unsettling, when you fought to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America.

Also, we are facing serious budget cuts to our military when we should never cut defense to keep our military safe. These hand outs to the government BRAC workers etc. are just another joke with our president. Maybe one day the Democrats will wake up before our freedom and family values are gone.

Just like our Second Amendment rights are in danger. The Democrats only want to pick and choose what amendments in the constitution they want to uphold. They need to remember they ought they look to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America. Can't wait to relocate my family to Pennsylvania.

Maj. T. J. Riley, U.S. Army Retired
