Strong winds, chills in 30s forecast for Thursday

Blustery breezes and highs in the mid-40s are forecast for the Baltimore area Thursday, bringing wind chills in the 20s and 30s, according to the National Weather Service.

Overnight lows were expected in the lower 30s.

Winds are expected to be increasing into the afternoon, at 15-20 mph in the morning with gusts up to 30 mph up to 20-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph in the afternoon. That is expected to make temperatures feel as much as 10 degrees colder.

Winds should calm by the evening, to about 10 mph, with overnight lows Thursday in the mid-30s.

Friday's weather is forecast to be relatively milder and calmer, with highs in the mid-50s and partly to mostly cloudy skies. 

A slight chance of rain could arise early Saturday morning, with lows around 40 and highs Saturday afternoon again in the mid-50s with a chance of rain throughout the day.

Rain chances are expected to continue through Sunday and Monday, with highs in the mid-40s and lows in the upper 30s.
