The Columbia Jewish Congregation presents "An Afternoon with Theater J" at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at the Oakland Mills Interfaith Center, 5885 Robert Oliver Place. Theater J will present a preview of scenes from its coming production of "Andy and the Shadows," written by Ari Roth. A discussion with the actors and playwright follows the performance. Children's puppet show

Community service day

This event being held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at Awaken Wellness, 7130 Minstrel Way, Suite 160, includes two 45-minute yoga classes addressing back pain, stress, sleep deprivation, breathing techniques and more. Baby expo

Columbia's Prenatal through Preschool Baby Expo takes place at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Owen Brown Community Center, 6800 Cradlerock Way. There will be informational speakers, product vendors, child safety information, health information and more. Information: 410-381-0202.

Classical music

"Tom and Friends," a recital of classical, chamber and jazz music, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Owen Brown Interfaith Center, 7246 Cradlerock Way. Musicians include Alison and Jody Gatwood, Rebecca Henry, Mary Ratcliffe, Tom Benjamin, the UUCC Jazz Trio and the Chalice Swingers. Art exhibits

•Fractal prints by Adam Zynger and a mixed-media show by Linda Trope titled "Arcane Convergence" will be on view through Saturday, April 13, in the Bernice Kish Gallery at Slayton House, 10400 Cross Fox Lane in Columbia. English conversation The Howard County Library, 10375 Little Patuxent Parkway, offers Let's Get Together: English Conversation Club. The club offers an opportunity for those for whom English is a second language to practice speaking and understanding English in a group setting.
