Nate Silver is known for predicting things correctly.
For instance, he correctly called the outcomes of all 50 states in November's presidential election.
So, Baltimore is not going to care for Silver's Super Bowl prediction.
Silver, who writes the New York Times FiveThirtyEight blog, did the math and concluded that the Ravens will likely fall to the 49ers.
The upshot of his reasoning is that teams with the better defense win. And if one runs the numbers, the Ravens defense is not the best.
"The 49ers also have the better offense," he writes, "so there isn’t much to recommend the Ravens..."
Of course, it should be noted that when it comes to football, Silver might have an Achilles heel. He originally predicted the Super Bowl matchup would be Patriots vs. Seahawks.
