Man pronounced dead at hospital

Police have still not identified a man who died Tuesday after being shot in Northeast Baltimore.

A 911 caller found a gunshot victim in the Lauraville neighborhood around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Around 2:25 a.m., officers responded to a call for shots fired in the 4900 block of Morello Road and canvassed the area, but did not discover a victim. The caller discovered a man in the 2600 block of Southern Avenue.

The man was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:21 a.m.

Homicide detectives are investigating. Those with information should call 410-396-2100.

Tuesday night, a shooting victim walked into Maryland Shock Trauma Center around 8:15. The 39-year-old man was shot in the arm in the 1500 block of N. Payson Street.

Police are searching for a suspect.
