Luna's House Animal Care and Education Center is a non-profit all animal rescue dedicated to bettering the lives of animals and their people and thrives on working with individuals and with other organizations in the local and regional community to promote widespread humane education and respect for animals.

The Luna's House Inc. Dog Program celebrated its first anniversary when they rescued their first dog last year on Jan. 14, 2012, a beagle named Rider. In 2012, the first year since getting in dogs, 81 homeless dogs were placed in great homes and are receiving the love they deserve.

Luna's 81st dog, Lucy, was adopted by a wonderful couple on Jan 13. These lives saved were due to the efforts of the wonderful, dedicated volunteers who spend time and care for the dogs every day. Volunteers have made a difference in each one of these dog's lives and Luna's House is very proud of their accomplishments. It is a rewarding experience and staff is are looking for more dog volunteers to make 2013 even more successful in helping homeless dogs find the homes they deserve. They are the innocent and need help.

Anyone interested in volunteering with the dogs and with Luna's House Inc., at 2801 Pulaski Highway in Edgewood, is asked to email Visit and or on Facebook.
