City police say man was robbed, shot in the face

Non-fatal shooting occurred as victim was leaving job

A 23-year-old man was robbed and shot early Sunday while leaving his job in northeast Baltimore, according to Baltimore city police.

Police said the incident occurred shortly after 4 a.m. in the 3000 block Fleetwood Road, where the victim was approached by two unidentified suspects, who were armed with a handgun.

The suspects took the victim's possessions, then shot him in the shoulder and face before fleeing, police said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, police said. No additional information was immediately available.
