January 15, 2013|By David Selig | The Baltimore Sun

ESPN released its Sunday Night Baseball schedule for the first half of the season Tuesday, confirming that the Orioles will make their first appearance in the weekly national showcase since 2008.

The Orioles' April 14 game at the New York Yankees will begin at 8:05 p.m. and will be called by the team of Dan Shulman, Orel Hershiser and John Kruk. Former Baltimore Sun writer Buster Olney is ESPN's Sunday Night reporter.

The last time the Orioles were on Sunday Night Baseball was Sept. 21, 2008, the final regular season game at the old Yankee Stadium.

The April 12-14 series in the Bronx will be the first meeting between the O's and Yankees since Game 5 of last year's ALDS.

ESPN selects the Sunday Night games for the latter half of the season in the weeks leading up to the games.
