Chocolate Affair tickets selling fast

January 15, 2013|By Richard Gorelick | The Baltimore Sun

The annual Health Care for the Homeless Chocolate Affair is Feb. 9. There are still tickets remaining for the popular winter event, but they're going fast.

The event returns to the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott, where it relocated in 2012 after many years at M&T Bank Stadium. The move came with a change of format, too.

The centerpiece of the Chocolate Affair is now a chocolate-inspired dinner prepared by Marriott chef Carlos Gomez, the former executive chef of the Hotel Hershey. The popular station-visiting now takes place in two parts. Savory chocolate-inspired treats will be served at an hors d'oeuvres reception, and a "dessert extravaganza" will follow dinner.

The annual HCH Chocolate Affair is Feb. 9, 6:30-10 p.m., at the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott, 700 Aliceanna St. Individual tickets are $150 and are available at

The event benefits Maryland's Health Care for the Homeless, which delivers pediatric, adolescent, and adult medical and dental care; mental health and addiction services; social work; outreach; and access to housing and employment for thousands of Marylanders each year.
