Baltimore County police charged a man with attempted first- and second-degree murder this week in the stabbing of two men who allegedly tried to jump him, the department announced on Friday.

Dallus Newson, 18, of the 4400 block of Greenwich Court in Abingdon, was arrested Jan. 7 and is being held without bail, police said.

Police said Newson fought with Brandon Victorian, 20, and Donte Smith, 19, after getting into a drug-related disagreement on Jan. 3 at about 7:30 p.m. in Perry Hall. Police charged Victorian and Smith with robbing Newson and with second-degree assault. Newson then stabbed the two men, who were taken from the 5000 block of Hilltop Acres Road to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the department.

Victorian and Smith were arrested on Jan. 9. Police said Victorian is being held on $175,000 bail and Smith is being held on $50,000 bail.
