A man was shot in the leg and another remains in a hospital with serious head lacerations in separate incidents Wednesday that police continue to investigate.

Police do not know the name or age of a man found near the Seton Business Park at about 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The man, found in the 5800 block of Wabash Avenue, suffered severe lacerations and trauma to his head and hasn't been able to be interviewed while he is being treated at an area hospital, Baltimore police Sgt. Anthony Smith said. The man was listed in critical condition on Thursday morning. Homicide detectives were initially summoned to investigate the case, which is an indication that the man's wounds could become fatal. But Smith said Northwest District detectives appear to be handling the case.

Detectives are also investigating a shooting reported after 11 p.m. in the East Baltimore Midway neighborhood. Police said they were called to a home in the 1900 block of Cecil Avenue where they found a 50-year-old man shot in the leg. He told officers he answered a knock at his door by an unknown person who shot him and fled. Police have no suspects and the victim was taken to an area hospital where he was listed in good condition.
