One man was killed and a woman was injured in a triple shooting that also left the suspected gunman injured in Port Deposit on Monday night, according to Maryland State Police.

Troopers from the North East Barrack responded to the 200 block of Craigtown Road in the waterside, Cecil County town just after 7:30 p.m. for a report of gunfire, and located the deceased man and the wounded woman at a residence, said Sgt. Scott Lanier, a police dispatcher.

Soon after, troopers were notified of another shooting at a nearby establishment, and upon responding there found a second man shot, Lanier said.

A preliminary investigation indicated the man was "the shooting suspect who had left the scene and went to the establishment and shot himself," Lanier said.

Lanier said he did not know the condition of the suspected shooter or the injured woman. Both were transported to an area hospital for treatment, he said.

No further information was immediately available, he said.
