Several generous donations in the past week helped The Aegis Empty Stocking Fund move past the $30,000 mark in fundraising for this year's drive to help needy Harford County children and their families during the Christmas holidays.
As of Monday, the Empty Stocking Fund had raised $32,500, but is still well short of its $80,000 goal. This year, the Empty Stocking Fund, which also accepts new, unwrapped toys, expects to help 364 families with 831 children.
Among recent donations received are $1,126.58 from Freedom Federal Credit Union employees and customers; $1,200 from Randall and Gina Pace; and $2,500 from Dr. Han Sohn and family.
Donations also have been received from Dottie and Bill Sewell, $100; Greg and Amy White, $100; Greg and Anne Fox, $200; and Friends of Harford Inc., $200.
