Man killed in northeast Baltimore hit and run

Pedestrian was likely struck by a black Mazda driven by a woman, police say

A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident in the Frankford neighborhood of Baltimore early Saturday morning, police said.

Officers responding to the scene on the 5300 block of Frankford Avenue shortly before 2 a.m found a man who had been struck by a sedan, police said. He was transported to Bayview Hospital where he died from his injuries at 2:16 a.m.

Police believe the man was hit by a black four-door Mazda driven by a woman with a female passenger. It was last seen traveling north on Frankford Avenue, police said.

Police were waiting the results of an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, according to spokesman Detective Jeremy Silbert. The victim has not yet been identified by police.
