A man was shot and killed in the Walbrook neighborhood Friday night, police said, and another was shot, but not fatally, on East North Avenue early Saturday.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3000 block of Elgin Avevnue at 10:12 p.m. and found a man, not named by police, suffering mutliple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene minutes later, according to police.

Police believe the victim was walking on the street, approached by another person and shot. The suspect remains unknown and homicide detectives are investigating the incident, police said.

In August, a 35-year-old man died after being shot in the head in the 3200 block of Walbrook Avenue.

Officers also responded to a shooting on the 300 block of East North Avenue and found a 30-year-old man suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital for treatment, police said. No other details about the shooting were immediately available.
