A head-on collision in northern Baltimore County Friday morning resulted in the death of a 26-year-old man and closed a section of Philadelphia Road in Kingsville for several hours.

William Strayer Jr., whose address has not been released, was pronounced dead at Franklin Square Hospital soon after the 6 a.m. collision, police said. Two other men were seriously injured in the crash, but they are expected to survive, police said.

A Chevrolet pickup truck, traveling westbound in the 12100 block of Philadelphia Road approaching Pfeffers Road, crossed the center line and struck a Mazda Protege traveling east, police said. Strayer was a passenger in the car. The injured victims, both of whom were driving the vehicles involved in the accident, were flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
