Maryland center Alex Len named ACC Player of the Week

Maryland center Alex Len has been named ACC Player of the Week.

The sophomore from Antratsit, Ukraine set career highs in points (23) and rebounds (12) in the Terps' 72-69 loss to Kentucky at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., Friday. Len shot 10-for-18 from the floor, and also contributed four blocks, which tied a career high.

North Carolina State guard Rodney Purvis was named ACC Rookie of the Week after his 16-point performance in the Wolfpack's 97-59 win over Miami (Ohio).
