The National Weather Service is calling for Thursday to start cloudy then become sunny, with a high near 55 and northwest winds 10 to 18 miles per hour, gusting to 31 miles per hour.

A small craft advisory is in effect through Thursday evening for the Maryland Chesapeake Bay and tidal Potomac River. The small craft advisory continues overnight for the lower tidal Potomac River and portions of the Maryland Chesapeake Bay.

Thursday night is expected to be clear, with a low around 36 and northwest winds 8 to 11 miles per hour.

Friday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 57 and northwest winds 7 to 10 miles per hour.

Friday night is expected to be mostly clear, with a low around 40 and west winds around 5 miles per hour or less.
