Howard County Commission on Aging — Seeking applicants to serve five-year terms and represent diverse professional backgrounds, various age and ethnic groups, and different geographic areas throughout the county. The commission works with the Office on Aging to plan activities, researches county and state legislation that would impact the health and well-being of older adults and their families, and provides testimony when appropriate. Candidates must be Howard County residents, age 18 or older, have an interest in promoting successful aging for older adults in the county and be able to attend the once-a-month meetings.
