St. Paul's made its first appearance in this week's Maryland High School Football State Poll after improving to 7-0 with a 22-0 win over MIAA B Conference foe St. Vincent Pallotti.

The Crusaders moved into the poll at No. 21, their first-ever ranking in 23 years of the media poll.

Calvert Hall was the only Baltimore-area team to drop, falling from No. 6 to No. 8 after Monday’s 24-14 loss to Gilman.

The Greyhounds held onto the No. 2 spot behind consensus No. 1 Good Counsel. River Hill remained No. 5, while all of the other local teams moved up.

Arundel rose from No. 8 to No. 7; Westminster, from No. 13 to No. 12; Franklin, from No. 17 to No. 14; Dunbar from No. 18 to No. 16 and Old Mill from No. 21 to No. 17.
