At least five local recruits with Terps offers will reportedly be in attendance for Maryland Madness.

Scout.com's Evan Daniels tweeted today that Maryland will host Mount St. Joseph combo guard Phil Booth, Potomac shooting guard Dion Wiley, Bishop O'Connell point guard Romelo Trimble and St. James power forward Obi Enechionyia tonight at Comcast Center.

Roddy Peters, meanwhile, was expected to visit Rutgers this weekend. But according to Daniels, the Suitland point guard will be in College Park tonight instead.

** Maryland is officially out of the mix for Rysheed Jordan. The Philadelphia point guard tweeted this week that he's down to seven schools: Alabama, Rutgers, St. John's, Syracuse, Temple, UCLA and Xavier.

Football recruiting

** The Wilmington (Del.) News Journal this week profiled Terps cornerback commitment Jarrett Ross.

Jarrett Ross is playing for a 1-4 high school football team in Delaware. Yet West Virginia, Boston College, Virginia, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Oregon, California and South Carolina were among the schools recruiting him before he chose Maryland.
