The senior goalkeeper has made the most of her first season as a starter, leading the Hawks to a 9-2-1 mark going into this week's play. Last week, Jacobs led North Harford to a 2-1 overtime win against Rising Sun on Oct. 1 before blanking No. 3 C. Milton Wright for 100 minutes in a 0-0 overtime tie. In the win over Rising Sun, Jacobs had eight saves to help the Hawks claim the win in extra time. Last Wednesday at C. Milton Wright, she frustrated the previously perfect Mustangs (now 9-0-1) with 15 saves to help move the Hawks into the Top 15 poll at No. 13 this week. Jacobs' biggest save came in the first overtime when she was able to get to a shot aimed for the upper corner, tipping it over the crossbar to keep the game scoreless. In 11 games, she has allowed four goals and posted six shutouts with 74 saves. Jacobs maintains a 4.14 grade point average, which is the highest in her class. She also swims and plays softball at North Harford.
