Girl shot in head early Sunday morning

The victim found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head in Northwest Baltimore on Sunday night was a 16-year-old city girl, Baltimore police said Monday night.

Ahjee Harrod, of the 2800 block of East Federal Street in East Baltimore, was pronounced dead in the 6300 block of Fairlawn Avenue about 10:05 p.m. Sunday, police said. Police had first responded to the scene after receiving a report of gunfire about 9:58 p.m.

Police were also investigating multiple shootings that occurred Monday.

Police responded about 9:28 p.m. to the 600 block of Dumbarton Avenue in North Baltimore for a shooting. A victim they found there was wounded so severely that homicide detectives were called in to investigate, police said.

Police received reports about 8:56 p.m. of shots fired at the intersection of Reisterstown Road and West Belvedere Avenue. A man who later arrived at an area hospital told police he had been shot at the intersection.

Police were also investigating a non-fatal shooting shortly before 5:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Chateau Avenue in North Baltimore.

A victim was taken to a nearby hospital. No further details were immediately available.
