Free Fall Baltimore, which today kicks off its seventh year of spotlighting no-charge arts and cultural experiences in Charm City, has received a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
The grant will be used to help promote and raise public awareness of the free programs and events being offered throughout the city, according to officials. The money will be used to help pay for print, online, television and radio spots, they said.
Free Fall Baltimore is organized by the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts. More than 90 local arts and cultural organizations are participating this year, including the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Everyman Theatre, the Baltimore Museum of Art, the American Visionary Art Museum, the Jewish Museum of Maryland and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African-American History and Culture. More than 300 free fall events are scheduled.
