After four weeks of a ten-week regular season, the regional playoff standings take on a bit more meaning as teams jockey for position. There’s a long way to go with 27 teams remaining undefeated and several first-place ties as teams vie for the four playoff berths in each region based on a points system that rewards strength of schedule as well as win-loss records.

In Class 2A North, five teams remain undefeated. Fallston and Elkton are tied for first place while Kent Island, Queen Anne’s and Wicomico also have 4-0 records.

In Class 1A North, there are no unbeaten teams but five teams have 3-1 records. New Town, Overlea and Western Tech are tied for first. Manchester Valley and Lewis are also 3-1

Other local teams holding onto the top spot in their regions:

Class 4A North: Westminster. Catonsville is third.

Class 4A North: Old Mill, which edges also undefeated Arundel. Broadneck is third.

Class 3A North: Milford Mill. C. Milton Wright is also undefeated but stands in third place behind Franklin. Hereford and Parkville are tied for fourth.

Class 3A East: Mount Hebron, which edges also unbeaten River Hill. Atholton is third and Howard, fourth.

Class 2A North: Edmondson. Owings Mills is second followed by Douglass. Loch Raven and Dundalk are tied for fourth.
