Victim shot and killed in Sandtown-Winchester

Man, 35, died at scene

A 35-year-old man died early Tuesday as the result of a shooting in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood.

City police found the victim at 12:50 a.m. in the 1800 block of Mosher Street, near North Fulton Avenue and within a few blocks from the Baltimore Police Department's Western District station. The victim was lying in the street beside a Dodge Caravan and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are also investigating a non-fatal shooting in the Penrose/Fayette Street Outreach area late Monday evening. A 20-year-old man was shot twice shortly before midnight in the 2100 block of Vine Street. He is being treated at an area hospital.
