Sports Legends Museum to hold Ravens Roundtable on Wednesday

Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards will hold a Ravens Roundtable discussion and luncheon Wednesday from noon to 1:30 p.m. Baltimore Sun columnist Mike Preston, Jeremy Conn of 105.7 The Fan and Fox 45's Bruce Cunningham will discuss the Ravens' offseason moves, provide their predictions for the season and take questions from members of the audience. TV: Amber Theoharis has left MASN to become a co-host on NFL Network's "Total Access" starting Sept. 21. Theoharis worked for Channel 45 from 2004 to 2006 and for MASN since 2006.

Major League Lacrosse: The Professional Lacrosse Players Association is filing a petition to the National Labor Relations Board to be officially recognized as the union for MLL players. The PLPA was founded in 1991 and is the bargaining organization for the National Lacrosse League; MLL currently doesn't have a union.

College lacrosse: Cecil College announced plans to add men's lacrosse as a varsity sport in the spring of 2014. The team will compete in the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference. A search for the program's first coach is under way. ... The Towson men's and women's teams, along with the Maryland women, will participate in the Play for Parkinson's tournament on Oct. 6 and 7 at Episcopal High in Alexandria, Va. The two-day event brings together 11 Division I men's and women's teams and raises money for the ProjectSpark Foundation.

College football: Salisbury (1-1) dropped one spot to No. 7 in the D3football.com Top 25 poll.

Women's college volleyball: Towson senior middle blocker Alysha McCreary was selected as the Colonial Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week.

Women's college soccer: McDaniel sophomore Meghan Sturgill was named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week. ... Frostburg State junior forward Adria Graham was honored as the Capital Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Men's college soccer: McDaniel sophomore Shane McCracken (Liberty), was chosen as the Centennial Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week. ... Salisbury senior defender Nate Woods was named CAC Defensive Player of the Week. ... Frostburg State senior forward Shawn Baker was selected as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week.

College field hockey: Salisbury senior back Amber Holland was chosen as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week.
