Double shooting occurs in Annapolis neighborhood

One victim remains in critical condition

Annapolis police are investigating a double shooting Sunday night that has left one victim in critical condition.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 11:30 p.m. to Medgar Evers Street near Frederick Douglas Street in the Eastport Terrace neighborhood. They found two adult men suffering from gunshot wounds. The 22-year-old victim, who was shot in the head, back and buttocks, was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and remains in critical condition. The other victim, 27, was shot in the back. He was treated and released from Prince George's County Hospital Center. Neither man lived in the neighborhood, where the shooting occurred, police said.
