SPCA to have pets available to adopt during golf tournament

September 10, 2012

The second annual "Putt for Pets" Golf Tournament to support the Maryland SPCA, sponsored by Atlantic Remodeling Corporation, will be on Friday at Mountain Branch Golf Club in Joppa.

"We have supported the Maryland SPCA for many years as a sponsor of the March for the Animals and with our own golf tournament. Being able to adopt a pet has a real and positive impact on people's lives. Making pet adoptions easier is our way on giving back to the community," Bert Lebhar, president of Atlantic Remodeling, said in a press release.

"Over the years, Atlantic Remodeling has been a tremendous partner to the Maryland SPCA," Maryland SPCA Executive Director Aileen Gabbey said. "Not only as an event sponsor, but their employees actively support the organization as volunteers. Everyone at the Maryland SPCA appreciates their commitment to our mission."

The tournament will begin at noon with a shotgun start. Participants will also enjoy dinner at the club followed by a charity auction. Lebhar says representatives from the Maryland SPCA will be at the golf course the day of the event with pets available for adoption.

The cost for a foursome for the golf tournament is $1,000. To register, or for more information, you may call Lebhr, 410-622-5977.
