Awards dinner The Community Action Council holds its 17th annual Holland Awards Dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Turf Valley Resort and Conference Center, 2700 Turf Valley Road in Ellicott City. University of Maryland athletic director Kevin Anderson will be the keynote speaker. Retired educator Sydney Cousin will be honored as the Humanitarian of the Year, and Ascend One Corp. will receive the Service Award. Tickets are $74; $650 for a table of 10.
