'Bless the Years'

The "Spirited Seniors" ministry of St. Paul's Lutheran Church will hold its annual celebration Oct. 13-14 at the church, 308 Oak Manor Drive in Glen Burnie. At the Saturday and Sunday worship services and activities, all members 55 and older will be recognized and a special tribute will be given to those 80 and older. Services are at 5 p.m. Oct. 13, and 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 14. Worship leader is the Rev. Dr. George E. Black. In addition, a reception will be held after the 10:30 a.m. Oct. 14 services. Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 7606 Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie, will host its annual Fall Festival from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. There will be bake sale tables, a flea market, an afghan raffle, and food for sale. Proceeds will go to various church projects. Information: 410-766-8778.


Sunday, Sept. 9,is the official start of the program year at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 1110 St. Stephen's Church Road in Crownsville. There will be a reception with refreshments from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the parish hall with Christian education enrollment for all ages. The Memorial Baptist Church Choir of Brasilia worships with the congregation through song at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Heritage Baptist Church, 1740 Forest Drive in Annapolis. A reception follows. Free. Information: 410-263-6680.


The Churches United for Christ Cluster will hold its annual fall revival at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Sept. 13-14, at Asbury Town Neck United Methodist Church, 429 Asbury Drive in Severna Park. The theme is "The Village Is on Fire," and revivalist is Bishop Varle Rollins of the Living Waters Outreach Center in Odenton. All are welcome. Information: 410-647-3461.
