Tower Federal Credit Union to sponsor benefit concert

Tower Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Laurel, is this year's sponsor of the Live On The Farm Benefit Concert, Friday, Sept. 7, at Maryland Therapeutic Riding's farm in Crownsville. The concert raises funds for Maryland Therapeutic Riding, a nonprofit organization that uses horses to help special needs children and adults, and retired and active-duty wounded soldiers and their families.

Grammy award-winning country music legends Oak Ridge Boys will perform, along with local band The Hard Travelers. Barn doors open at 5:30 p.m.; the concert begins at 7:30 p.m. The event will also feature live and silent auctions.

Maryland Therapeutic Riding will also present its Exceptional Hero Award to 21-year-old Katie Parry, who has participated in the therapeutic riding program since she was 5.

Tickets are $40 for general admission and $125 for VIP admission. Both options allow access to the musical performances, and live and silent auctions. VIP tickets also include preferred parking, premiere seating, refreshments in the VIP tent before the concert, a pre-concert riding demonstration and a reception with the artists before the show.
