Traffic: Accident on I-95 southbound near I-695

Downtown street closures in effect for Grand Prix of Baltimore

As of 9 a.m. Thursday, traffic was slow on I-95 southbound near I-695, due to an accident.

Accidents were slowing traffic on the outer loop of I-695 near Frederick Road in Baltimore County, I-695 westbound near Hollins Ferry Road in Baltimore County, the outer loop of I-695 near Charles Street in Baltimore County, I-795 southbound near I-695, I-795 southbound near Owings Mills Boulevard, Owings Mills Boulevard at Dolfield Road in Baltimore County, and Canon Way at Kate Wagner Road in Westminster.

I-395 was closed from Howard Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard due to Grand Prix of Baltimore, and traffic is being diverted to MLK Jr. Boulevard. Also, Pratt Street was closed at Paca Street, Conway Street is closed in both directions, and Pratt Street is closed from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Paca Street, all due to the race preparations.

Traffic was slow on I-895 near the Steel Bridge, due to construction activity.

Monument Street is closed between Wolfe Street and Patterson Park Avenue in East Baltimore, due to sinkhole repairs. Maryland Transit Administration bus 35 has been diverted.

The bus stop on Pratt Street at Sharp Street has been discontinued temporarily due to installation of a racetrack barrier for the Grand Prix of Baltimore. This affects MTA bus route numbers 7, 11, 19, 19X and 35.

Until further notice, the No. 14 bus stop located northbound on Crain Highway at Furnace Branch Road has been temporarily relocated due to construction.

There are no major delays reported on Baltimore area transit systems.
