Fort Meade Community Job Fair open to all job seekers

The Maryland Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation/DLLR is holding a Fort Meade Community Job Fair, Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Club Meade, 6600 Mapes Road, on Fort Meade. All job seekers, veterans and nonveterans, can meet prospective employers. Bring résumés and dress for success. Participants should arrive early, and anticipate lines at the installation's gate and at the job fair.

Other sponsors of the job fair include Fort Meade Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation; DLLR/Anne Arundel One Stop Career Centers; Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp.; Army Community Service; Navy Fleet and Family Support Center; and Army Career and Alumni Program.

Representatives from the newly developed Army Cyber Command, as well as Defense Information Systems Agency, National Security Agency and Social Security Administration will be in attendance at this event. Eighty plus employers will recruit for more than 1,100 plus positions. Some openings require candidates to have a top secret or secret security clearance.

Those who want to attend the job fair and do not possess a Department of Defense ID card and a DoD vehicle sticker must enter Fort Meade by the gate at Route 175 and Reece Road. All individuals must present a photo ID card or driver's license. All drivers must also show current vehicle registration and proof of vehicle insurance. All vehicles driven by drivers without DoD ID cards and without DoD vehicle stickers entering the installation will be inspected.
