A man was stabbed during a fight in Edgewood Saturday.

Harford County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 800 block of Windstream Way at about 3:45 a.m. for a report of a stabbing, according to a police report. Deputies found a woman wearing a white T-shirt with two bloody handprints on the back and a man in the street in only shorts, with blood on his arms and torso.

The 32-year-old woman was not injured, but the 21-year-old man was cut on both forearms, according to the report. He was treated at the scene, but refused to be taken to a hospital.

The woman said she was getting something out of her vehicle when an unknown man asked her for a cigarette and money. When she said no and walked away, the man, described as black, approximately 6 feet, 3 inches tall with his hair braided in corn rows, followed her to the residence, according to the report.

The woman's boyfriend, the 21-year-old man, was out in front of the residence and started fighting with the unidentified man, who started to stab her boyfriend before running off, according to the report.

The injured man told deputies he didn't have any information to report, but the woman's cousin, a witness, told deputies she heard fighting outside and tried to break up the fight.

No further information was available.
