Traffic: Accident on I-83 near Northern Parkway

No major delays on area transit systems

As of 9 a.m. Wednesday, traffic was slow on I-83 southbound near Northern Parkway, due to an accident.

Accidents were slowing traffic on Liberty Road near Route 32 in Westminster, Philadelphia Road near Ashford Drive in Aberdeen, Route 100 near Telegraph Road in Anne Arundel County, and Old Harford Road and Proctor Lane in Baltimore County.

Southwestern Boulevard is closed near Washington Boulevard in Baltimore County, due to emergency roadwork.

Lee Street is closed at Light Street in Baltimore City, due to Grand Prix of Baltimore preparations.

Traffic was slow on I-895 near the Steel Bridge, due to construction activity.

Monument Street is closed between Wolfe Street and Patterson Park Avenue in East Baltimore, due to sinkhole repairs. Maryland Transit Administration bus 35 has been diverted.

The bus stop on Pratt Street at Sharp Street has been discontinued temporarily due to installation of a racetrack barrier for the Grand Prix of Baltimore. This affects MTA bus route numbers 7, 11, 19, 19X and 35.

Until further notice, the No. 14 bus stop located northbound on Crain Highway at Furnace Branch Road has been temporarily relocated due to construction.

There are no major delays reported on Baltimore area transit systems.
