August 28, 2012|By Michael Dresser, The Baltimore Sun

Garnacha, Spain's name for France's grenache, produces some of the most decadently pleasurable red wines on the planet, They may not be the most complex of wines, but they pack a lot of flavor and don't require much aging. This is a particularly fine — and well-priced — example. It offer lush flavors of blackberry, cherry and chocolate along with earthy and herbal notes. Like many of the best wines, it leaves an impression of sweet fruit without actually being sweet.
