The Restaurant Association of Maryland's month-long dining promotion begins on Monday. The food-service trade association has declared September "Kitchen Liberation Month."
From Sept. 1 through Sept. 30, Marylanders can receive a 20 percent discount off of breakfast, lunch and/or dinner from participating restaurants by downloading and printing a coupon from the Dine Out Maryland website. Some restaurants have put restrictions (e.g., lunch only, alcohol not included) on the coupons, which are listed on the website.
"Whether you're getting kids ready for school, or you're just returning from vacation and getting back to a hectic work schedule, we know this is a busy time of year for people and hope they'll take advantage of this special promotion," said Marshall Weston, Jr., president and CEO of the association.
As part of the campaign, diners are encouraged to check in at each restaurant they visit to be entered into a drawing for prizes, including the grand prize -- $5,200 in Restaurant Association gift certificates. Diners have to visit a minimum of six restaurants to qualify.
