Baltimore police are investigating a fatal stabbing Friday of a Milford Mill man in Beechfield.

Lindale Carrington, 33, of the 8500 block of Glen Michael Lane died at 11:59 a.m. Friday at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was transported after police found him suffering from a stab wound at a house in the 600 block of Brisbane Road.

Police responded to a reported "cutting" at the Beechfield house at 11 a.m. A preliminary investigation showed that the victim had been in a verbal and physical confrontation with a male suspect in the house when the suspect armed himself with a sharp object and stabbed Carrington in the torso, police said. The suspect fled before officers arrived.

In a separate incident, a man suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the stomach and back at 2:33 a.m. Saturday at the 1100 block of Harlem Ave., police said. The man was transported to an area hospital. Western District detectives are investigating the shooting, and no information about possible suspects was made available.
