Kooper's North, from the owners of Kooper's Tavern in Fells Point, will open on Aug. 28, according to owners, Katie and Patrick Russell.

The Kooper's team will be giving tours of the new restaurant on Friday night, Aug. 24. The Kooper's Chowhound Burger Wagon will be parked outside, giving away Black Angus beef sliders.

Located in Lutherville's Round Wood Shopping Center, 12240 Tullamore Road, the property was formerly the home of Roddy Domacasse's Restaurant Sabor, which closed last summer. The Russells will operate Kooper's North in a partnership with Miles Perman, according to Patrick Russell.

In addition to Kooper's Tavern, the Russells own the Thames Street properties Slainte Irish Pub, Woody's Rum Bar and Celie's Waterfront Inn. They also own Kooper's Chowhound Burger Wagon, the first truck in Baltimore's food-truck fleet, and its recently launched sister truck, Woody's Taco Island.
