Maryland-bound point guard Lexie Brown finished her summer vacation by winning a gold medal.

Brown helped USA Basketball's Women's U-18 National Team to a 71-47 win over Brazil on Sunday night in the gold-medal game of the FIBA Americas Championship in Gurabo, Puerto Rico.

Brown scored seven points on 3-for-9 shooting (1-for-4 from 3) and added three assists and three rebounds in 24 minutes. Brown averaged 5.8 points throughout the five-game tournament.

A 5-foot-9 guard from North Gwinnett High in suburban Atlanta, Brown committed to the Terps after her freshman year of high school. The 4.0 student will be joined in College Park next year by center Brionna Jones (Aberdeen), forward A'Lexus Harrison (Digital Harbor) and guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough.
