Anne Arundel County police arrested a Glen Burnie man after they responded to a 21-year-old caller telling them that his mother was being held at gunpoint by a former boyfriend, police said.
Police said that at about 10 p.m. Friday, they received a call saying that the 38-year-old woman was being held in a bedroom of a home in 200 block of Maryland Avenue by an ex-boyfriend, police said. Police said that officers who arrived there heard the woman screaming in the bedroom and saw a man at the threshold of the room, and he had one of his hands inside the room.
Police said after the man ignored officers' repeated order to show them both of his hands, one of the officers used a Taser to subdue him. Officers found a handgun they said the man had used. Police filed 17 charges against Timothy Allen Gray, 19, of the 200 block of Poplar Avenue, Glen Burnie, including first-degree assault, burglary, false imprisonment and weapons counts.
