The National Weather Service is calling for Friday to be increasingly cloudy in the Baltimore area, with a high near 92 and southwest winds 7 to 13 miles per hour. There is a 30 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m.

A small craft advisory is in effect late Friday afternoon and Friday night for portions of the Maryland Chesapeake Bay. Forecasters warn that a few thunderstorms Friday night could become severe and produce damaging wind gusts.

Friday night is expected to be cloudy, with a low around 73 and northwest winds 8 to 11 miles per hour. There is a 60 percent chance of precipitation. New rainfall amounts between one quarter of an inch and one half of an inch are possible.

Saturday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 83 and north winds 6 to 9 miles per hour. There is a 40 percent chance of precipitation.

Saturday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 88 and light north winds.
