A 22-year-old Shadyside man wanted in connection with a shooting Monday in West River turned himself in to police Tuesday.

Danny Gay Jr. of the 1500 block of Lincoln Road arrived at the Anne Arundel County Sheriff's Office at the Circuit Courthouse in Annapolis at 1:30 p.m.

He is a suspect in the shooting of a 56-year-old man who was wounded at his home in the 1000 block of Friendship Lane shortly after 6 p.m. Monday. Police said the victim was shot after a brief verbal dispute with a known suspect, who then fled the scene.

The victim is being treated at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for a gunshot wound that is not life-threatening, police said.
