Authorities in North Carolina located the car of a Pasadena man who was found dead in his home Sunday.

Officers in Charlotte stopped the vehicle belonging to Darius Keenan Sr., 50, and identified the driver as Keenan's son, 26-year-old Darius Keenan Jr.

Keenan Sr. was found in his home dead from a gunshot wound to the upper torso earlier that day by a family member. His car was missing from the home in the 400 block of Harlem Ave., prompting police to send out a nationwide alert for the vehicle.

Keenan Jr. is being held in Charlotte on traffic and auto theft charges. The Anne Arundel County State's Attorney's Office is seeking extradition.

Anne Arundel County detectives said they recovered evidence linking Keenan Jr. to his father's death but the investigation is considered ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jackie Davis at 410-222-3413.
