The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating the suspicious death of a 50-year-old Pasadena man, whose body was discovered Sunday at his home.

Officers were called at 9:30 a.m. to the 400 block of Harlem Avenue near Catherine Avenue, by a family member who found the man inside the home. Police have released few details but said the victim, identified as Darius Keenan, had suffered "trauma to the upper body." The homicide unit has taken control of the investigation.

The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore to determine the cause and manner of death. Through the preliminary investigation, detectives have made a family member, already in custody on an unrelated matter, a person of interest in the case. The incident does not appear to be a random act of violence, police said. Anyone with additional information should contact Sgt. Keith Clark of the Criminal Investigation Division's Homicide Unit at 410-222-3456.
