Traffic: Accident on I-695 outer loop near Loch Raven Blvd.

No major delays on area transit systems

As of 9 a.m. Friday, traffic was slow on the outer loop of I-695 near Loch Raven Boulevard, due to an accident.

Accidents were slowing traffic on St. Paul Street near Charles Street in Baltimore City, Monroe Street near Washington Boulevard in Baltimore City, Riva Road near Route 655 in Anne Arundel County, Route 648 near Waterford Road in Anne Arundel County, and on Route 26 near Unionville Road near Franklinville.

Traffic was slow on I-895 near the Steel Bridge, due to construction activity.

Monument Street is closed between Wolfe Street and Patterson Park Avenue in East Baltimore, due to sinkhole repairs. Maryland Transit Administration bus 35 has been diverted.

Light Street is closed from Baltimore to Lombard streets due to water main repairs. Some bus routes have been diverted due to the repair work.

Maryland Transit Administration buses 36 and 51 have been diverted from Monroe Street due to a sinkhole.

The bus stop on Pratt Street at Sharp Street has been discontinued temporarily due to installation of a racetrack barrier for the Baltimore Grand Prix. This affects MTA bus route numbers 7, 11, 19, 19X and 35.

Starting at 9 a.m. Friday and continuing until 11 p.m. Aug. 14, Hollins Ferry Road will be closed to through traffic between Waterview Avenue and Patapsco Avenue for railroad track replacement work. MTA bus 51 will be diverted from that section of Hollins Ferry Road during that period.

There are no major delays reported on Baltimore area transit systems.
