Flash flood warning issued for parts of Howard, Montgomery

Up to 5 inches of rain called for

A flash flood warning has been issued for west central Howard County and north central Montgomery County, according to the National Weather Service.

Up to three inches of rain had fallen on the area as of about 8:30 p.m., and up to two additional inches of rain were expected, the service said.

The warning is in effect until 11:45 p.m., the service said.
