Traffic: Accident on U.S. 29 southbound near Route 40

No major delays on area transit systems

As of 9 a.m. Wednesday, traffic was slow on U.S. 29 southbound near Route 40, due to an accident.

Accidents were slowing traffic on Padonia Road near Beaver Dam Road in Baltimore County and Singer Road near Scotch Court in Abingdon.

Traffic was slow on I-895 near the Steel Bridge, due to construction activity.

Monument Street is closed between Wolfe Street and Patterson Park Avenue in East Baltimore, due to sinkhole repairs. Maryland Transit Administration bus 35 has been diverted.

Light Street is closed from Baltimore to Lombard streets due to water main repairs. Some bus routes have been diverted due to the repair work.

Maryland Transit Administration buses 36 and 51 have been diverted from Monroe Street due to a sinkhole.

There are no major delays reported on Baltimore area transit systems.
